Rodeo King - Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do you cover?
We mainly cover Kent, Essex and London although we do take bookings from much further afield, why not give us a call and see if we can accommodate you.

How do we bookup & Pay
When you book the rodeo ( or surf simulator ) we will require a £100 deposit to confirm the booking, then when we arrive at the event we will require the rest of the payment in cash prior to setting up. Deposits can be taken as cheque, credit card or paypal.

How much notice is required to book
We prefer as much notice as possible, especially if your event is during the weekend, however we are able to take short notice bookings subject to availability.. Why not call and check with us.

Prices
We do show prices on our website as a guideline, although due to many variables like distance, time etc these might differ to the final cost we give you. The best thing to do is to get in touch and let us give you a price for your event.

Cancellations
If you have to cancel any booking for any reason the following terms apply: More than 7 days notice then you will lose only the deposit paid. If you want to cancel due to bad weather and inform us before the day you will only lose the deposit ( or you can ask us about our rain check offer ) If you cancel on the day then the full amount will be due.

Weather and Cancellations
We would love to be able to control the weather and let you have a sunny day for your event, although as you know the weather in the UK can be a bit unpredictable. When you are hiring the Rodeo Bull ( or any attachment that goes on the bull base ) we can supply a marquee that will cover the ride and in cases of light rain you will stay nice and dry.

If you are worried about the weather spoiling your day and wish to cancel, we ask for as much notice as possible, we will need to be told before the day otherwise the full amount will be due ( see cancellations above ) but if you do want to not go ahead with the day, you don't have to lose your deposit, just ask us for a "Rain Check" and we will hold your deposit and you can then rearrange for later date.

What happens on the day/night
For the Rodeo Bull, we will arrive around 45-60 minutes before the agreed start time, we will chat with you on where the equipment is going to be setup. We will then setup the rodeo etc and then we will run the equipment for your guests during the event ensuring everyone's safety and enjoyment. At the end of the event we will need about 30-45 minutes to pack away.

Please note the rodeo needs a reasonable amount of space as its a large piece of equipment, make sure that any obstructions are cleared away and we need to know if there are any steps to get to the location for the event.

For the sumo suits, we will deliver them to you at an agreed time, then go through with you how to put them on and how to use them. We will then come back at an agreed time to pick them back up.

The sumo suits ( or any other equipment that is supplied unsupervised ) will be the responsibility of the hirer and you will need to ensure that sufficient adult supervision is provided throughout the hire period. We can supply staff to supervise ( or referee as we like to call it ) at an additional cost and they will get everyone involved and having fun throughout the event.

Safety
All of our equipment is designed to be as safe as possible and has annual testing and servicing.

The rodeo ( and attachments ) will have a professional operator who sets up the equipment and then runs it during the event. they will make sure that everyone has an enjoyable time whilst maintaining safety for everyone.

For outdoor events it is preferable that the equipment is operated on grass. If the equipment is to be operated on a non-grass surface please make sure that we are notified at the time of booking so any necessary additional arrangements can be made.

The sumo suits are very safe to use, please note the users MUST wear the neck brace and helmet, and children must be supervised at all times.

Are we insured
Yes we have full public liability insurance, please let us know if you need to see our documentation prior to the event.

Power Supply
The rodeo bull will require a 240 volt electricity supply which should be within 50 metres of the equipment site. If the nearest supply is over 50 metres away please advise at the time of booking so we know to bring along additional power leads. Please be aware the bull and blower shouldn't be plugged into an extension lead that already has a few items plugged in.

If you are planning to supply electricity from a generator please contact us in advance so we can ensure that you are aware of the correct generator specifications required.

If an electric supply is unavailable we can supply either a generator or a petrol engine blower at additional cost. Please ask for details.
